Peter and the Shadow Thieves
Three months after Peter and the Starcatchers, Peter and the other boys have settled on their island and the pirates marooned with them have built a fort.
About
Peter and the Shadow Thieves is a children's novel by the American writers Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, published in 2006 as the second book of the Starcatchers series.
The series reinvents characters and situations from J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy, and this book begins three months after the first one ended. Peter, James, Thomas, Prentiss and Tubby Ted are living on their island, Tinker Bell keeps watch over Peter, and the pirates under Black Stache have built themselves a fort and taken a new name since the fight that cost their captain his hand.
What interrupts them is a ship called Le Fantome, looking for the island under the command of a scarred captain named Nerezza, with the vengeful Slank aboard and a dark presence called Lord Ombra travelling with them. Molly Aster, Peter's friend and the daughter of a Starcatcher, is on her way back to London while all of this is happening, and part of what the newcomers are hunting belongs to her family rather than to the island the boys have settled on.
