Moon Rising

Moon Rising is a fantasy novel by the American writer Tui T. Sutherland, published in 2014 and part of the Wings of Fire sequence.

The book begins after the war that the earlier volumes were built around. The dragonets of destiny have decided that the way to prevent another one is to build a school, Jade Mountain Academy, where young dragons from every tribe will be taught together and may end up as friends. Moonwatcher is one of the new students, and she is less certain than the others about the arrangement. She is also carrying a secret that makes a room full of other dragons a difficult place to be, because she hears what they are thinking when they do not intend her to.

The school is the new setting for the series, and Moonwatcher is one of its first students. Her ability is the reason she finds the place difficult rather than exciting.
