Hunting Prince Dracula
Audrey Rose Wadsworth leaves London and its memories after discovering the identity of Jack the Ripper, travelling with Thomas Cresswell to Romania, to one of Europe's best schools of forensic medicine and to the country of Vlad the Impaler.
About
Hunting Prince Dracula is a novel by Kerri Maniscalco, published in 2017 and a sequel to Stalking Jack the Ripper. Its heroine, Audrey Rose Wadsworth, has discovered the identity of the Ripper, and the discovery leaves her unable to remain in London.
She travels with Thomas Cresswell to the dark heart of Romania, where she has enrolled at one of Europe's best schools of forensic medicine. The country also belongs to Vlad the Impaler, the prince whose taste for blood became legend, and it is his castle that becomes the setting for a new series of killings.
The murders found there are strange enough to raise the question the book is built on: whether somebody has decided to imitate the prince, or whether the prince himself has been brought back. Audrey Rose has come to study the dead and ends up investigating them instead, with both her training and her nerve tested before she has finished her course. Thomas Cresswell travels with her and works the same case, and both of them are students at the school rather than officials of it.
