About
Good Things Come is a Christian romance by the American writer Jennifer Ann Ryan, published in 2001. It is set in the Australian mountain town of Ferntree Heights.
Kate Long is a widow, and after her husband's death she moves with her young daughter to a small town in the Australian mountains in order to make a new life for the two of them. Settling there is more complicated than she expected, largely because of Aaron Frazer, a successful entrepreneur and a man of faith who takes a romantic interest in her. Kate's heart longs for the love and warmth he is offering, but she tells herself that she does not deserve it, and the novel works through the reasons she has for believing that. Her independence and her fear of loving again and losing somebody as she lost her husband are the obstacles in the way, and the question the book keeps asking is whether she will let herself accept what is in front of her or whether running away is the only answer she can see.
The book was published by Heartsong Presents, a line of short Christian romances.
