About
Exile is a fantasy novel by the American writer Shannon Messenger.
Sophie is getting used to her new home and to the world of the lost cities, and living at Havenfield means she can spend her time with animals that are rare and valuable. The most important of them is an Alicorn, the first female of her kind, who shows herself to Sophie and will not let anyone else near her. Sophie is asked to help train the creature so that she can eventually be presented to the people as a sign of hope, and she wants to believe that the recent trouble is behind her. The secrets buried in her own memories have not gone anywhere, and before long she is risking what she has in order to answer questions that matter to somebody close to her.
