Evernight
Bianca is taken from her home town and enrolled at Evernight Academy, a Gothic boarding school where the other students are sleek, clever and somehow too perfect for her to feel at home among them.
About
Evernight is a young adult horror novel by the American writer Claudia Gray, published by HarperTeen in 2008.
Bianca did not choose Evernight Academy and does not want to be there. The school is Gothic, its students are unnervingly polished, and she is certain that she does not belong among them. Lucas is an outsider too: he ignores the rules, refuses to be impressed by the people who run the place, and tells Bianca to be careful, including careful about caring for him, because the others would take it out on her. Neither of them can put down what is growing between them, and each is carrying something that will not survive being told.
It opens a series set at the school, and the headings also list schools, love and teenage girls. Bianca has been uprooted from a small home town to be there, and neither she nor Lucas is the type the school is built for.
