Jerome Horwitz Elementary School is holding its Invention Convention, and George Beard and Harold Hutchins have been sent to study hall by their principal, Mr Krupp, after gluing everyone to their seats the previous year.

About

Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets is a children's book written and illustrated by Dav Pilkey, published on 1 February 1999. It is the second book of the Captain Underpants series, and it introduces the Turbo Toilet 2000, the Talking Toilets and the Incredible Robo-Plunger.

Jerome Horwitz Elementary School is holding its Invention Convention, and George Beard and Harold Hutchins are being punished for what they did at the last one. Mr Krupp forces them to stay in study hall for the whole day, and their plan for the convention is to sabotage the other children's inventions while they are supposed to be sitting quietly. The convention gives every child in the school an invention of their own, and the two of them have already decided what to do with it.

The plan runs into Melvin Sneedly, their nerdy tattletale nemesis, who is working late on an invention of his own: a photocopier that can turn a picture of something into a real being. The book also has a superhero problem, since Principal Krupp turns into Captain Underpants, and it is in this story that the talking toilets first appear.
