Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy # 1)

Burn for Me is a paranormal romance by the American writing partnership known as Ilona Andrews, published in 2014. It opens the Hidden Legacy series and its heroine works as an investigator rather than as a soldier.

Nevada Baylor runs a detective agency and is given the most challenging case of her career: a suicide mission to bring in a suspect in a volatile situation. The man she is hunting is a Prime, the highest rank of magic user, and his power is fire.

Before she can get far she is kidnapped by Connor Rogan, a darkly tempting billionaire whose own powers are just as destructive. He is after the same target and needs her help, and she has to decide whether to run or to work with him. The novel keeps the investigation and the attraction running on the same track, and Rogan finds himself caring about someone other than himself for the first time. Nevada has a family and a business to protect as well as a case to close, and both are at risk once he becomes involved.
