Brides of Durango - Jenny
Jenny Sullivan left Cole Randall at the altar, unsure whether she was marrying a man or uniting two cattle ranches, and went east for two years.
About
Brides of Durango - Jenny is a historical romance by Bobbi Smith, published by Leisure Books in 1999 and part of her series of novels set in and around Durango.
Jenny Sullivan grew up on the Lazy S, and when she was young she was engaged to Cole Randall without ever being certain whether the match was about love or about joining two cattle ranches. She left him at the altar and went east, and two years later her father's death brings her home to stay. She is no longer the uncertain bride of the wedding that never happened; she has decided what she wants and she intends to restore her family's spread to what it once was. The obstacle is Cole, who is executor of the estate and has been running the ranch in her absence, and who has no intention of being managed by anybody. Working together on the cattle and the accounts puts them in daily contact, and Jenny's plan to keep the relationship strictly professional does not survive the roundup.
Smith writes romances in which the working life of a ranch supplies the plot, and this one is about a woman coming home to land, a business and a man she has spent two years trying to leave behind.
