A Memory of Light
The Wheel of Time turns, and ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend.
About
A Memory of Light is the fourteenth and final volume of The Wheel of Time, the epic fantasy series begun by the American writer Robert Jordan, published in 2013.
Robert Jordan died in 2007, and for a time it looked as though the concluding scenes of the series would never be written. Brandon Sanderson, an established fantasy writer, was brought in to complete the work using the notes and partial manuscripts Jordan had left behind, and he wrote three volumes from them: The Gathering Storm, Towers of Midnight and this book, all of which reached number one on the New York Times hardcover bestseller list. The Wheel of Time began with The Eye of the World in 1990 and had sold more than forty million copies in over thirty languages by the time this volume appeared. The final book was edited by Jordan's widow, who had edited all of his books.
The series is built around a single long prophecy and a cast of characters drawn from many nations, and the fourteen volumes divide into a small number of large movements whose last is completed here.
