A Love to Last Forever
Beth Gallatin has wanted only one thing out of life: to settle in a single town, with one man, and raise a family there.
About
A Love to Last Forever is a novel by Tracie Peterson, published in 2009. It is a historical romance set on the frontier of Montana, and it is written as a story of Christian faith as well as of courtship.
Beth Gallatin's father moved the family from place to place throughout her childhood, and the one thing she wanted, a settled life in a single town, was always just out of reach. She found what comfort she could in romantic novels, and when her father dies she is free at last to put down roots on the Montana land she has come to think of as home.
The novel follows Beth as she tries to build that life. She is a young woman with a clear idea of what she wants in a place where the work is hard, the neighbours have their own opinions, and the family she grew up in has to be persuaded that she means to stay. The community she has joined is a Christian one, and the book follows her as she takes her place in it.
