The Workshop Is Half the Game
On this page
ARC Raiders is described as a multiplayer extraction adventure that flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines and the underground society of Speranza, where you craft, repair and upgrade your gear in your own workshop.
The run starts before you go out
Because the publisher describes crafting, repairing and upgrading as the safe half of the loop, the decisions that matter most are made before you step onto the surface. Arriving with gear that answers the map is worth more than arriving faster.
Repair is not a chore
Repairing is named alongside crafting, which means gear has a working life. Treating a damaged weapon as a reason to stay in for one cycle is usually cheaper than losing it in a fight you took because you could not afford to be careful.
Upgrades follow the threat
The store sets the workshop directly against a surface of lethal machines and unpredictable survivors. That makes each upgrade an answer to a specific problem you met last time, rather than a general power increase.
Two societies, one loop
Speranza is described as vibrant and expanding, with Traders who have their own motives and agendas. The underground is not just a menu: it is where contacts live, and the store ties its growth to the surface you are exploring.
What you meet on the surface decides the gear: read the machine before it reads you. And decide what the haul is for in sell or craft.
